You have power within you to have and achieve all that you want in life, achieve your goals, and fulfil your potential. Why not speak that into reality by the power of words and affirmations? Affirmations are statements said with emotion, confidence about a perceived truth of what you want to see in your life. Affirmations have helped thousands and millions of people turn their lives around and registered significant changes in their lives. Affirmations can be both positive and negative. You have heard stories of teachers or parents who told their kids or students very negative things, and some in their anger have said things like, “You will never achieve anything good, you are a loser.” These hurtful statements do more damage than you can ever imagine. What you say stays with the people in the conscious or unconscious mind and are reinforced throughout our lives. Affirmations have the ability to program your mind into believing suggestions you have given it. The reason is the mind doesn't know the difference between what is real or fantasy.
To know your mind, listen to your words!
Speaking possibility statements or self-scripts will condition the subconscious mind to help you develop a more positive perception of yourself. Positive self-talk and affirmations can help you change harmful behaviors and accomplish your goals. An affirmation has the power to help repair the damage caused by negative scripts, those things which we repeatedly tell ourselves or which others repeatedly tell us. Write down your affirmations and read these affirmations many times during the day and before you go to sleep. It is the process of repetition that makes it firmly register in your subconscious mind. In writing your statements use the presence tense like: I earn so much each month or year, or I am healthy and following my passion of releasing champions and inspiring each one to greatness.
"Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." – Steve Jobs
Here is an example of an affirmation in the present tense: I am very happy and grateful now that: God is my source of total supply, I earn a million dollars a year, I inspire millions and am changing lives, I have multiple streams of income (MSI), I am blessed, healthy and living the life I want, I am a success, I encourage people to give of their best and be all they can be. I have great faith; there is a major conspiracy to bring good into my life. I am successful in everything I do. I am a magnet for money and abundance. I always take the higher path when faced with two choices. I am energetic and strong and I see the best in everyone and they see the same in me.
Mark Twain said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” When you learn to speak what you want, things begin to fall into place. The words I spoke many years ago and repeated over and over again is now being actualized in my life. Begin to understand the full power of your words and all that it’s doing to you. Be careful of the words you use any time you open your mouth.
