Your words give expression to what you want, think, and feel!
When you truly understand the power of words and understand that you have the responsibility of choosing how you think and what you say, your life can be totally transformed to live the life you want. John Keating said, “No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world." Martin Luther King used the power of words in his “I Have a Dream” speech to move millions of people to action. Betty Eadie said, “If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive."
Our words are like containers, they have faith or doubt. Rudyard Kipling said, “Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.” When my kids were young, I placed in their bedroom positive and inspirational words. When they woke up they saw those words, and before they go to bed they saw those inspiring words again. Little did I know that the words were shaping my kids’ minds and lives and getting them ready to take on any challenge life threw at them during their teenage years. To this day, each of my children remembers those great quotes and words of inspiration. Words have the power to move you to do amazing things.
"Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” – Pearl Strachan Hurd
