One of the keys to success is to believe that you have the potential and are gifted to succeed. The way you see yourself greatly affects the results and actions you take. The stories and lies you repeat to yourself every single day will impact your ability to perform in any given task or work. The mistakes you have made in the past do not define you and you are not equal to your mistakes. Place your past mistakes within a context and fail forward. The business deals you have lost, the rejections you have received as a salesperson, the losses you have incurred do not diminish you. I want you to remember this for the rest of your life: YOU ARE BETTER THAN YOU THINK! This is a fact and not just my opinion.
Eva to Deuce (Undeniable) said “You're better than you think," I whispered. "I didn't realize it when I was little, didn't understand that look in your eyes, why you always looked so sad, but I get it now. Someone got inside of you and messed you all up, made up down and left right so now you think you're shit when you're not even close. So you need to listen to me when I tell you that you are better than you think. You're even better than that. To me, you're the best” We achieve a small percentage of what we are capable of because of a lack of self-confidence and negative self-talk; poor self-esteem; and negative self-concept. We have allowed the results on the outside to define what we can do. One of the tragedies of life is to repeatedly tell yourself that it is impossible. The more you tell yourself that something is impossible the more your sub-conscious mind believes it to be true. Do you know that when you remove the IM from impossible you get the word possible? Any time the word impossible shows up on your radar, make a conscious effort to mentally remove the IM and think it’s possible. That little shift in your thinking process will revolutionize your life. A switch in your thinking will significantly affect the direction of your life. You have come too far to conclude that you do not have it. You have come through so many experiences and life challenges to want to give up. You are better than you think. Most of the successful people we know today, Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield, Jim Rohn, Denis Waitley, Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey and others were not successful from the start. They started from humble beginnings and worked their way up. Each of these giants of success kept their dreams alive and stood their ground, the test of time, and became the icons of success we read about today. Stop sabotaging yourself with the erroneous stories you tell yourself because if you don’t stop, you will continue to get the same results as before. Take a trip through memory lane and remember all the challenges you went through and you how navigated successfully inspite of the difficulties. Your being around and still kicking says you have a great future ahead of you. Being around says it is not over until you say its over. Why not start right now to recreate your life and live the life you imagine. Why not stop the negative self-talk and start all over again by reminding yourself that you still got it! Why not announce your intentions to those you trust and get on with life. The world is waiting for your contributions. Get going and get moving. I know beyond every reason of doubt that you are better than you think. The question is do you believe in you? If you could do better, would you?
