Leadership Meetings

My experience over the years has shown that organizations and leaders get more out of their off-site, on-site leadership, and strategic meetings when they use the help of an outside coach or meeting facilitator. There is nothing wrong with leaders facilitating their own meetings. However, such meetings have not yielded the full benefits due to leadership biases, inability to keep a professional distance when facilitating, and inability to detach from personal emotions especially when the subject being discussed impacts the leader in some way.

The other challenge is that the leader may not have adequate coaching and meeting facilitation skills to drive the meeting to achieve successful outcomes and results. I have supported several leadership teams through my meeting facilitation program.
